Inspiration

Each garment begins with the development of a textile that not only inspires its shape but also evokes the structured, grounded feel of industrial craftsmanship. Aesthetically, I aim to blend the tactile nature of textiles with the precision and strength learned from my experience in butchery, creating designs that reflect both beauty and durability. The industrial influence is reflected in the choice of materials, techniques, and the overall character of my work.

Production

All garments are crafted in my atelier in Copenhagen on knitting machines, unless otherwise stated. The production process mirrors the precision I gained from my previous work—efficient, methodical, and purposeful. I focus on minimizing waste at every stage, ensuring each garment is made with care and efficiency. The industrial aesthetic influences not only the construction of the garments but also the tools and techniques used, giving each piece a sense of purpose and integrity.

Materials

I work primarily with deadstock or repurposed materials, giving new life to what would otherwise be discarded. The materials are chosen not only for their sustainability but also for their raw, unrefined beauty, reflecting an industrial style that values both practicality and aesthetic appeal. I aim to keep garments recyclable by using a single material whenever possible, unless a mix of materials is necessary for the longevity or function of the textile.

Imperfections

In my textiles, imperfections are not hidden but embraced. If mistakes appear in the final garment, they are there by design - carefully assessed to ensure they do not compromise the quality or longevity of the piece. These "flaws" serve as a testament to the craftsmanship behind each garment, a reminder that beauty often lies in the raw, unfinished edges. Drawing on my butchery background, where every cut tells a story, these imperfections are part of the design, not something to discard. To build a brighter, more sustainable future, we must accept these mistakes and the authenticity they bring, rather than striving for perfection.
